Clarify Add Transaction Sign Change & New Budget Rollover Setting

I noticed an update on expense categories being automatically negative. but colors for expenses still remain green which is confusing especially when compared to how it was before where expenses (negative numbers) from a category were grey and incomes (positive) were green.

also im unsure if this is supposed to be like this but rollover balances from the previous month on categories remain unaffected by transactions/incomes which is unfortunate as I use them like envelopes. this means that if i have $50 in a category to spend from the previous month and i create a transaction of $1. the balance shows up as -$1.00 / $50. Is there anyway that the $50 can be affected by the transaction so it shows up as $49?
