I’m not sure how this appears on mobile, but on my desktop the months are displayed in reverse chronological order (e.g., Dec., Nov., Oct., Sept., etc.). While it functions correctly, the layout does seem somewhat unusual.

Yes, the reason it defaults to current month on the left for reports is because we felt it made more sense to see it immediately upon page load vs having to scroll to the right on desktop. On the budget it sorts that way as well but by default the full year is shown so it starts with Dec on the left.
We understand this may not feel normal to everyone so we do plan on adding the option to reverse this (per this feature request) in the near future.
