Calendar View for Transactions
Add a monthly and weekly calendar view that shows transactions on their actual or scheduled dates. Users should be able to see upcoming bills, paychecks, and spending patterns in a timeline instead of only in tables and reports.
Financial Goals
Track progress toward goals like saving more, paying down debt, or building a stronger emergency fund.
Savings Goals / Sinking Funds
Iβd love to see a dedicated feature where you can create savings goals (EX: buying a 7000 car by January 2027) and sinking funds (EX: Car maintenance) rather than using Accounts as I am trying to.
Dedicated Payee (Merchant) Field
Introduce a separate Payee field for merchants, distinct from Description/Notes. Enables cleaner transaction organization, better merchant tracking, and faster entry with auto-fill based on past payees.
Upcoming Bills and Recurring Expense Tracking
Keep upcoming bills and recurring expenses visible so planning feels easier and more proactive.
Search by transaction amount
I would like a way to search my transactions by amount. This way I can quickly search to see if I entered anything that is $26.59 (for example).
Running Balance
We need to be able to see the running balance in every account. This helps with forecasting. This has become a deal-breaker for me.
Weekly/Bi-Weekly/Semi-Monthly/Custom budget options
Now you can only choose between monthly or yearly options to view data and to set budget, but for some people they want to be able to see this weekly! EDIT: Additional Request from Ian Zan on 10/22/2026 First of all, thank you for building such an amazing app! It would be amazing to have a feature that allows users to set custom start and end dates for the budget period, instead of being limited to the standard calendar month. For example, setting it from the 10th of one month to the 9th of the next month. This would be super helpful for tracking expenses based on personal income cycles or paydays. Thanks for considering!
Initial Account Balance Entry
ability to set initial budget, starting point of your accounts, without having to put it in as a transaction
Scan Receipts to Create Transactions
Allow users to take a photo of a receipt and automatically create a transaction with the extracted details. This could significantly reduce manual data entry.

Mark Transactions as Reviewed
Users should be able to mark new transactions as reviewed after confirming or updating their categories. This would make it easy to distinguish transactions they have already checked from those that still need attention, without requiring them to remember which transactions are new.
Merge Accounts or Categories
Allow users to merge duplicate accounts or categories together while automatically updating existing transactions. This would make it easier to clean up and reorganize financial data.
Better Onboarding Flow
Users should have an onboarding checklist to help them learn how to get started and how to use all the relevant features.
Filtering by Parent Categories
Should allow users the ability to filter by parent categories as well as child categories on all pages where filtering is relevant.
Re-Link Existing Accounts
Reconnect previously unlinked or manual accounts instead of setting them up from scratch.

Ability to see leftover budget amount in "Reports" on mobile
User should be able to tap on the numbers and see a tooltip that shows the leftover budget amount and percentage spent, similar to how it works on desktop currently
Investment Tracking & Account Connections
Ability to track your investments to see your holdings, activity, & returns for a more complete financial picture. Also adding support for connect investment accounts.
Cash Flow Sankey Chart "Savings" label Change
For the cash flow; the available balance is automatically tagged βSavingsβ Can that be editable because i already have another expense category titles savings and its quite confusing.

Category Groups for Reports
Add the ability to organize categories into higher-level groups, such as Housing, Utilities, Transportation, Health & Fitness, etc., and display those groupings in reports. Currently, reports show categories in a flat list. This feature would allow users to create or assign categories to groups so the income and expense report can be viewed in a more organized, management-report style format, while still keeping the default experience simple for users who do not need grouping.
Setup transfers for both involved accounts
It would be nice to have a way to create a Transfer transaction between accounts in which I can specify a Sending (From) and Receiving (To) account so that I donβt need to create two separate transactions. Say I use my credit card and pay it with my debit account, it would be nice to Add money to the credit account while Substracting the same amount from my debit account at the same time.
Budget Rollovers
Carry over over-budget or under-budget amounts into future budget periods.
Shared Budgets for Multiple Users
Invite additional people to view or help manage a budget together.
"Better" expense creation
Having to manually input the negative to a number to make it an expense takes out the meaning of Types of Categories at least when creating transactions. If I already made a Category an Expense, I would like for the app to automatically turn it into a negative value when selecting the category. Incomes are not as common of a transaction as Expenses so I think this would improve QoL overall.
Custom Category & Account Sorting
Add the ability to manually rearrange the order of categories and accounts instead of only sorting them alphabetically or by default order. This would allow users to organize their FreeBudget setup in the way that makes the most sense to them. For example, users could place their most-used categories or accounts at the top, group related accounts together, organize categories around their personal budgeting workflow, or control how items appear in the Dashboard, Reports, and Budget tabs.
Transaction Tags
Tag transactions for one-time events or special situations to make analysis more flexible.
Manual Recurring Transactions
Create recurring transactions on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly schedules.
Bug in transaction calculation
Hi, there is small bug in transaction. for example letβs say we have 5 transaction, 1 income and 4 expense, when we select all this transactions, in transaction page shows total expense. so probably it calculates like: 4(- expense) + 1 (income) and show result. so letβs say income is more than expense result will be positive number. so everything is correct until here. and if you unselect income it must show negative number is sum of 4 expense. but bug is one unselect income. result will be negative but instead of sum of 4 expense shows income as a negative number. example calculation: 4 expense: -1000 1 income: 5000. when you select all transactions result will be: -1000+5000= 4000 when unselect income result must be: -1000 but in app result seems as -5000 but if you refresh and select this 4 expense separately result will seems as -1000 I have attached some example photo from app. I select all of them and shows correct calculation. I unselect income If I select one by one, and then unselect it works properly. Problem is, when I select all and then unselect it works buggy so probably problem is in select or select all functionality.
Show Uncategorized transactions on the Dashboard and in Reports
Uncategorized transactions currently don't appear in the Dashboard's Net Income, Cash Flow, or category breakdown charts, so money can silently go missing from your totals until it's categorized. They should be counted as income or expenses based on the amount and shown as a distinct red "Uncategorized" slice, node, or row, making them easy to spot and click into for review.
